Rome has attractions which can be enjoyed by people of all ages. The city is able to attract one and all with its eternal magnetism. People also call it the ‘Eternal City’. If you are an art lover, it is the world’s richest city. You will be surprised that the city hardly sleeps with sound, which starts at dawn going into late night. You could say that there is a particular harmony or disharmony in the city where you will find busy streets lined with modern day boutiques and kiosks standing alongside antiquities.

The monuments of Rome still stand as a reminder of Rome as one of the greatest centers of western civilization. If you love the wild you will be pleased by the elongated oval of Circus Maximus which has a capacity for seating 250,000 and was second best to the most impressive ‘Colosseum’ for watching gladiators in action. ‘Colosseum’ can still be viewed as Rome’s all time architectural legacy.

Rome is also home to one of the most lavish palaces, the ‘Golden House of Nero’. Built on about 200 acres of land, the palace has a 150 foot statue of Nero in the nude at the entrance. The only ancient building which remains intact today is ‘The Pantheon’ whose spatial concept makes it an architectural wonder. It has also been the inspiration for Michelangelo to design the cupola of St. Peter’s. You must have a view of St. Peter’s Basilica to complete a near perfect tour of viewing the eternal attractions of the ‘Eternal City’.
