Those Truly Wonderful Water Sounds

Keeping in tune with nature is a great stress buster, and healthy way of life. Meditation helps us bring out the power of the mind. But sometimes we also require outside help to achieve the same. Have you thought of water sounds as a stress buster? Spending a grueling day at work an even stressful journey back through the huzzle-buzzles of noisy traffic -- ha we are increasingly under pressure from the environment we have created.

We can’t live without the sounds around us. Sounds from a car engine, radio, etc. Have you ever been to a valley side waterfall where you listen to the sound of the waterfall or a stream that flows kissing the rocks? I can’t name that sound something other than water sound. I like the sound. In fact I like the environment I hear the sound. The hotel in Texas where I stayed during my business meeting had a little electricity operated waterfall at the reception. I could hear the water sound. Though the environment has changed, I liked the sound and I thought it is good tension buster.

I planned to get the sound recorded. Yes I actually got the water sound recorded on a CD. Now I listen to the water sound while on my way back from my office. I also like to hear the sound whenever I am under stress. The trickling sound of water is so soothing. Though the environment has not changed, you will feel the visit to that valley on your last vacation.

In fact the water falls like the one I saw in Texas hotel is becoming common, albeit in even miniature form, as tabletop waterfall. You can find one such setup from a local home improvement store. You can look at the movement of the water down the crystals and listen to the natural sound of water flow.

Children too enjoy water sound. Have a look at them spending time in a swimming pool. They will be making good sounds by splashing the water in all possible forms. Though I can’t believe, it’s quite amazing to hear the argument that babies are reminded of the secured condition in the while they hear water sound.
