lmost all of us go through life constantly worrying about something or other, our job, our relationships, getting older, our bank account, and our children among other things. Do we really need to do all this worrying. After all, most of it is just in our heads and many of the problems never ever really happen they way we think they will. Here are some tips that could help you reduce your worry levels.

Getting Older. Why waste time worrying about wrinkles and gray hair. We will never be able to stop time! Every day we get another day older. The most important thing here is to feel good about yourself and stop worrying about what other people think of you. Take care of yourself by eating right. There is no need to go on a crash diet, just cut down the size of the meals. Eat less of the “fast” food, burgers and pizzas and replace them with more salads. Exercise at least 3 to 4 time a weeks for 30 minutes because keeping fit leads to a healthy body and that will make you feel better about yourself.

Money. Even when we are not strapped for cash, we still worry about money. You need to realize that money is a tool for living, not something to be wasted or hoarded. You either spend money now or spend money later, but the whole point of working is to earn money to save, spend and enjoy. The problem here is people tend to overspend. How many times have you been at the mall and seen a pair of those “must have” shoes. You want them so you get them even though you are strapped for cash. The thing to do when funds are low is not to take your credit cards with you to the mall. Take just enough cash to cover what you really need. There will always be another pair of “must have” shoes when the funds are available.

Relationships. A lot of the time we go through life wondering about the what-ifs. What if I find out my partner is cheating? What if we have a child? What if we didn't live too far away from each other? What if I didn't lie? What if he/she is no longer attracted to me anymore? You can ruin a relationship with that kind of mentality and this really takes away from living in the present. This is usually a very hard thing to do, but you have to stop the negative thoughts. You should spend more time reminding yourself that negativity is no good for you. Think of all the positives you have experienced in a relationship and appreciate all those positives, so long as the good things out number the bad, you have a workable relationship.

The Workplace. On average most Americans are now working longer hours than ever before so it makes sense that we all get stressed out on a daily basis. We are constantly concerned about how we appear to our bosses and our co-workers, will we get that promotion, will I be the one to go if they downsize. There are ways to rid yourself of this workplace paranoia. Instead of being afraid, take advantage of situations. If you are nervous about talking in front of your boss, practice beforehand. Stand in front of a mirror and say what you would like to say to your boss, or ask someone in your household to be your audience. It will work, or at least move you in the right direction, most of the time just doing the job to the best of your ability will be enough.

Other Obligations. When you go to sleep at night are you thinking about the things you need to do the next day, when you wake up in the morning are you thinking about what you have to do during the day. There is this mental checklist that seems to be endless at times. Start being a little more picky about what you want to do. The more you try to accomplish, the less you actually get done and this leads you to stressing out. Limit your daily activities! You don't have to be a super hero! Choose what is important to you and spend your time like you spend your money, wisely and you will find that you are a lot happier.
