Schizophrenia is a brain illness and its treatment is complex, is a long-term treatment, involves a lot of drugs witch have a lot of side effects.

Also injectable treatment has lower side effects and a better compliance. Not as an alternation to the drugs treatment, and more to help schizophrenic treatment the patient can obtain psychotherapy support. It is very useful in preventing self-injury and even suicide.
Another non-drugs method of treatment is social therapy, group therapy and many other therapy methods and it helps the patient to face the real world, to find out what is real and what in not.
All this methods together can be used for a good compliance in the best interest of schizophrenic patient.
